What age is too young to wear make-up to school?

I'm am 14 and in year 8. I don't won't to wear it but I'm just wondering what age you think is to you because all my friends wear make-up.What age is too young to wear make-up to school?
I saw your question on the main page and had to pop in for a Fathers opinion. First, I am proud of you! Being as old as you are and not wishing to wear makeup. I have a very young daughter and I hope and pray that she will be like minded. My wife is 39 and wears very little makeup. When we were dating she wore more and as she came to understand that I loved her for her she took off the layers.





Now, if your parents are not telling you one way or another I say ';Be yourself.'; I plan on keeping the makeup to a minimum unless she has self esteem issues with acne. I would say your age or older is an ideal goal to keep them from the stuff.

When I was your age I wasn't allowed to wear makeup until I was 16. Times have changed a lot since then. My 11 1/2 yr old has worn make-up %26amp; I have told her that although she looks pretty she looks beautiful without it so why waste the time,money %26amp; energy. God made both boy %26amp; girl naturally beautiful so why do girls spend hours in front of the mirror but boys don't, society. She has since, on her own chosen to no longer wear it %26amp; I couldn't be happier. You were born beautiful, keep that beautiful face as God intended.
When i was in school we weren't allowed to wear make-up, dye our hair, grow our nails and had to tie long hair up. And no other hair bands except school colours. And if your school uniforms dress was 7cm above your knee you go home. Mind you girls here in South Africa go to school to learn and look their age. And i matriculated last year.
well im 14 and turning 15 in a couple of months... i haven't really even started to think of wearing makeup... my friends all wear it (cept for the guy friends) and they don't usually tell me i should wear it... unless u really feel you need it, don't do it, because with it you'll start looking very wanna-be-ish... that happened to one of the girls at my school... ahha... but yea.. its really up to you... talk to your mom about it and see what she says... ask her when she started wearing it... maybe you'll make a decision then.... (but remember to wash your face with or without make up)
well too young to wear mascara and eyeliner and foundation and all that would have to be 10 or younger. but since i have heard your description before you should go with a light brown or pink eyeshadow and glossy lipgloss and mabey a tiny bit of blush oh and add brown mascara if you want. hope this helps! bubble xx
Under 14 is too young. You are at the right age but just don't overdo it. Go with lighter tones. You want to look more natural. You don't want to look like a clown. LOL Don't do it because your friends do. Be your own person. Do it because you want to do it.
i started wearing makeup at the end of the year when i was in 4th grade not like alot but like foundation and and some eyeliner and lip gloss...im in year 6 now and i wear eyeliner (not too thick) and lip gloss and eyeshadow...
I started wearing eye make-up at school when I was in year 8.


I've never liked foundation, so just eye make-up.


Some schools don't allow it though.

i think it all depends on the way the person looks like how old they look to someone or to theirselves. It is ok to wear alittle make up. I think at the age of 13, that its ok to wear some mascara and clear, shiny lipgloss.

most girls i knew were wearing makeup by your age and grade. i say elementary is too young and middle school is gettin to the right age

I don't think there is a specific age to where you are ';allowed'; to wear makeup. As long as you know how much is ';too much'; and don't overdo the eyeliner, lipstick, etc.
I think 13 and 14 is still young. Truth is, I don't find little girls wearing make - up pretty. Sometimes it make them look skanky, almost like their 40 years old. Unless, there really pretty. If not, nah.
i think thats the perfect age to start wearing a bit of makeup to school. too young would be 12 and under. 13 and up is fine.

I think at 13 very minimal make up would be an okay idea. It's insane to see little girls wear make up to the point that they look like little adults.
I dont think pre-shcoolers should wear make-up.
Just don't go over the top with your make up if you are planning on wearing any.


But if you feel comfortable without any, then why bother?


Stay as you are and be an individual
At 14 it is ok to wear make up to cover up blemishes, with some lip gloss and mascara. Nothing is needed beyond that.
if you are 14 why don't you were make up .i think people over 13 should wear make up ,not to much like tanning your skin,and put false eye lashes

at 14 you could wear lipgloss, lipstick... nude, close-to natural colors...


and you can paint your nails, same way...
12 and up but you are defently old enough to be wearing makeup!
